Hello! A few items to keep in mind as you begin registration: 

  • If you are registering for an International event, you must have a valid WHTI-Compliant document in order to proceed. You will not be able to edit your information once you complete your registration so please make sure your personal information is correct.
  • The Detroit Free Press Marathon does not offer refunds.
  • All additional product orders are fulfilled by our official merchandise partner Running Lab. If you have any questions regarding official merch, please reach out to their store.

This race combines a 25.2-mile training goal and a 1-mile race on Saturday of race weekend for ages 6-13 to complete their first marathon! Kids may use the 25.2-mile training goal log sheet found here: Click Here for Log Sheet to be completed leading up to the event. Then on Saturday of race weekend, they are invited to join us to complete their last mile. This event is a kids ONLY course, adults may not run with their kids.

A fun, casual short distance run for ages 8 and under to show them the excitement of running events! Parents and guardians can run with their children without an official registration for the Meijer Little Detroit Dash.

The Detroit Challenge Series is available for those who want to run more than one event during Detroit's Marathon Weekend. This is half-marathon crosses into Canada and comes back to the U.S. International documentation is required to register for this event. 

  • The Wonder International includes: International Half-Marathon + 5K + 1-Mile
  • Please note: You will need to register and sign waivers for each individual race. The system will guide you through the process. 
  • Your registration includes:
    • Half-Marathon race shirt 
    • Exclusive Challenge wearable (same size you select for the Half-Marathon race shirt)
    • Three (International Half-Marathon, 5K, 1-mile) medals
    • One Challenge medal (don't forget to ask a volunteer for the Challenge Medal after your International Half-Marathon Finish!)
